How to remove stretch marks Untitled Document

Stretch marks are purplish streaks and scars that normally appear on the buttocks, hips, abdomen, breast, and arms. They form when the dermis (the middle elastic layer of your skin) is stretched to the point of breaking down, similar to elastic losing its elasticity. As the elasticity breaks down, the skin tries to reinforce itself with collagen in the over stretched skin, thus causing stretch marks.

Skin does not bounce back if it\'s been stretched by rapid growth due to pregnancy, weight gain, or extreme weight loss. Instead, it becomes decorated by a form of scarring called stretch marks, or striae. Stretch marks often start off as reddish or purplish in color and then become glossy skin that appears streaked in silver or white.

Stretch marks occur in the dermis, the elastic middle layer of skin that allows it to retain its shape. However, when constantly stretched, the dermis can break down leaving behind stretch marks.

Some creams are not effective in making your stretch marks disappear is because they cannot penetrate deep enough into the skin to repair the damage. Most customers are disappointed because they only relieve the itch caused the stretch marks. They could not prevent them from developing. However, there are a few creams in the market that used to remove stretch marks. They are effective because they contain active ingredients such as collagen, vitamin E, Retin A, and elastin.

Stretch marks are a normal part of puberty for most girls and guys. When a person grows or gains weight really quickly (like during puberty), that person may get fine lines on the body called stretch marks. Stretch marks happen when the skin is pulled by rapid growth or stretching. Although the skin is usually fairly elastic, when it\'s overstretched, the normal production of collagen (the major protein that makes up the connective tissue in your skin) is disrupted. As a result, scars called stretch marks may form..

Whether or not you get stretch marks is determined mostly by heredity, and getting rid of them isn\'t easy. In fact, experts aren\'t even sure it\'s completely possible. The first thing to know to remove stretch marks  is that no over-the-counter cream or lotion can remove those lines. Stretch marks occur in the middle layer of the skin, called the dermis, and common creams can\'t reach that far deep. Vitamin E and cocoa butter treatments can make your skin feel soft and supple, but they won\'t make your skin mark-free. You\'ll need to talk to a doctor, dermatologist, or plastic surgeon if you want to seriously reduce the lines.

Causes – How to remove stretch marks

Stretch marks are caused when the skin is stretched to the point of breaking down, similar to elastic losing its\' elasticity. Losing collagen and elastin in the skin causes stretch marks, loss of tone, fine lines and wrinkles. When there is a breakdown or loss of elastin and collagen fibers or excessive stretching in the skin, the mark actually shows through to the epidermis (top layer of skin).
