Some Other Ways - How to get rid of cockroaches
# Sprinkle boric acid around areas you have seen them.
# You can make your own insecticide by mixing equal parts of baking soda and powdered sugar and setting up a mock bait plate for the roaches. After mixing your sugar and soda, eave the mixture in a shallow dish where roaches have been seen or are known to travel. The combination of sugar and soda is lethal to the cockroach.
# Get some insecticide that is labeled for use against cockroaches, and spray wherever cockroaches may be hiding or entering the house, including along walls, in cracks, and in vents. Keep pets out of the way when you are spraying, and follow all safety instructions on the products label.

Ensure that it makes contact with the roaches head and lower abdomen. The roach will run or try to run, but will suddenly stop and die or be almost dead in one minute.
