Warts are skin infections caused by viruses of the human papillomavirus (HPV) family. They can affect any area of the body, but tend to invade warm, moist places, like small cuts or scratches on the fingers, hands, and feet. Warts are usually painless unless they are on the soles of the feet or another part of the body that gets bumped or touched all the time.

Papaya (papain), Pineapple (bromelain), banana peel and figs contain enzymes that digest and dissolve warts in a safe manner. This is one of the useful home remedies for warts.
Use enough garlic to cover the wart. Cover it with a bandage and keep it overnight. After having your bath remove the bandage, a small blister would appear, let it be absorbed by your body again. By continuing this procedure your warts may leave your body within two weeks.
Take a clove of garlic and crush it and apply it on the wart twice a day. Cover the wart throughout the day, and keep doing this for about 5-6 days. Once in the morning and once at night. This is one of the important home remedies for warts.
Marigold is another herb found beneficial in the treatment of warts. The juice of the leaves of this plant can be applied beneficially over warts. The sap from the stem has also been found beneficial in the removal of warts.
An old fashioned remedy is to tie a piece of cotton tightly around the base of the wart, leave it alone and it will fall off. Also warts are contagious and after touching them wash hands, Its a know fact that a wart can appear in another area years after touching one.

In the morning put the piece of onion over the wart, and use a bandaid to hold it in place. Keep the piece of onion on your wart all day.
The acid in castor oil probably does the trick by irritating the wart. The oil treatment works best on small, flat warts on the face and on the back of the hands. Apply castor oil to the wart with a cotton swab twice a day.
Apply a bit of Apple cider Vinegar to the wart with a Q-tip and then cover it with a Band-aid every night and in 1 to 2 weeks it will be gone. I tried it and it workes better than anything out there.
Milkweed a weed that is wide spread across North America; the fresh milky sap of the leaf or stem is applied directly to warts once a day. Usually works dramatically; non-irritating, does not affect normal skin.
Dissolve baking soda in water, then wash your wart-plagued hand or foot in it. Let your hand dry naturally, with the baking soda still on it. Repeat often, until the wart is gone. One of the popular home remedies for warts.
Another great idea is to apply the milky juice of figs on the warts 2-3 times in a day, till the warts disappear.
One of the most common methods suggested for home removal of warts is securely taping the wart, and keeping it covered at all times. You can use first aid tape or any type of medical tape. Some even recommend duct tape. The tape should be left on all the time, and only should be changed if it starts to loosen, or if it gets really dirty.
