Take eyebright and fennel in capsule form to increase eyesight and to combat cataracts and glaucoma.
Make an eye wash from eyebright, goldenseal, strawberry leaf, or witch hazel tea to relieve irritation. This is one of the good home remedies for eye care.
To remove small dirt or debris from your eye. Stand strait up and look strait down to the floor. Cover your clean eye with your hand. Pick a spot on the floor and keep your affected eye pointed strait at it. Do not blink or move your eye. Spit three times on that spot. This should have caused your eye to water a little removing debris from your eye. This only works with a small spec of dirt or other small object. If you have alot of debris, use an eye wash.
Wash your eyes several times a day with cold water. This will reduce inflammation, moisturizes skin and gives fast relief from fatigue and eyestrain. Add a drop of Lavender oil to 2.5 cups of water and shake them well. Dip cotton pad in the solution and place it on eyes. Remember to remove excess solution from the wet cotton pad.
Touch the underside of the neck with your chin and then move your head as far back as you can. Move your head in a circular motion so that it touches first the right and then the left shoulder. Then move in the reverse direction touching first the left and then the right shoulder.
A decoction prepared from coriander can be used as eyewash for people with conjunctivitis. There will be immediate reduction in the burning, redness and swelling of the eyes. This is one of the best home remedies for eye care

The Indian Sorrel has exceptional properties in the treatment of several eye problems. A few drops of the juice of its leaves must be put in the eyes everyday to keep them free from strain. They can also be a good prevention for cataract.
Prick a capsule of Vitamin A, E, or wheat germ oil and smooth directly onto your skin, add to coconut, almond or apricot oil, or to your toner. Vitamin A is a potent antioxidant and Vitamin E is said to slow down the aging process. Almond oil soothes and lubricates the skin. Apricot oil protects and softens the skin. Wheat germ oil promotes skin elasticity.
In 2 cups of water add 1 teaspoon of turmeric. Boil it till it reduces to half. Cool it and with the help of a fine muslin cloth strain it 4-5 times. This solution can be used as eye drops 4-3 times in a day.
Steep a roasted-bancha tea bag in boiling hot water for 10 minutes and then add 1 teaspoon of sea salt. Dip a cotton pad in lukewarm mixture mentioned above and place it over closed eyes for 10 minutes. Try this compress 3 times a day.
