How to Get Rid of Zits
More and more people suffer the on set of zits everyday. Years back, most people thought that zits are only suffered by teenagers but that is simply not true. These are some of the tips on how to get rid of zits you can try to help you on your way to wage war against zits.
Get Rid of Zits
Stop picking on your zits. You risk infecting the surrounding skin and have it spread like wildfire and that’s the least of your worries. To add insult to injury, it risks scarring and that’s even harder to remove.
Spot treatments have incredibly high doses of acne fighting medications that pummel the zit into submission before it has a chance to erupt. These spot creams should only be used for pimple emergencies and are not for everyday use. Using them everyday could result in rashes, excessively dry and peeling skin, and other conditions that are worse than the zit they were employed to prevent.
A different face wash that you can try is a Cucumber mask. This will actually moisturize your face and supply a good amount of vitamins that the skin needs to battle acne and zits. To do this make a cucumber paste and apply all over your face. Let it sit for a few minutes and wash your face normally. You will start to see some improvements fairly quickly. This is also a good treatment if you have dry skin.
There are home remedies for getting rid of bruises and getting rid of dark circles under your eyes, so it’s only natural that they have a home remedy for zits. One treatment is the use of toothpaste on the affected area. Basically you would apply a small dab before you go to bed at night and then wash it off in the morning. The toothpaste works like a sponge and completely dries out the affected area and dislodges any oil that may be stuck in the pore. This is great for those that have the occasional pimple pop and would like to get rid of it as soon as possible.
Drink Plenty of Water. Try to drink at least 12 glasses of water daily. The reason is that water eliminates the toxins from your body, and makes your skin areas lovely and attractive. This is often overlooked and underestimated but extremely important.
Eat Natural Fruits and Vegetables. Stop taking in processed foods and start eating hygienic fruits and vegetables such as, apple, apricot, blueberry, cherries, pear, pomegranate, papaya, strawberry, and watermelon, carrot, avocado, garlic, cauliflower, beets, okra, spinach, peas, corn, broccoli, cucumber, artichoke, etc.
Putting a dab of toothpaste on your zit (not gel) will dry out the zit and help to bring matters to a head, thereby speeding up the cycle of zit growth. It doesn’t cure it as such, but it might get it over with faster.
Getting rid of zits is a problem usually associated with teenagers. But adults can get them too. Much of the problem is hormonal. Girls who are affected may notice an increase during their monthly period. This of course is not relevant to boys, but remember that from puberty until well into your 20s there’s a lot of hormone activity bubbling around inside you doing all sorts of crazy things. Zits can be part of the result.
