Home Remedies for Flatulence
Flatulence occurs normally within the gastrointestinal tract, yet many patients complain of flatulence. The complaint of flatulence has no uniform connotation. Some patients mean that they make noisy releasing gas too much; some experiences with abdominal uneasiness and characteristic it to flatulence, others observe the amount of flatus passed extremely.
Home remedies for Flatulence
Mix 2 tsp of brandy with a cup of warm water and drink before going to bed.
Ginger taken with a little carbonate of soda and fried asafoetida (hing) is useful.
Powder 1 tsp of pepper, 1 tsp of dry ginger and 1 tsp of green cardamom seeds. Mix 1/2 tsp of this mixture with water and drink an hour after a meal
Add small amounts of psyllium powder to your diet. It helps to clean out putrid deposits from your bowels. Available in health food stores.
Mix 1/2 tsp of dry ginger powder with a pinch of asafoetida and a pinch of rock salt in a cup of warm water. Drink this concoction to get relief from gas.
Mix 2 tsp of brandy with a cup of warm water and drink this before going to bed.
Chew on some fresh ginger slices that are soaked in lime juice after meals.
One of the most effective and easiest to get is fennel seed, which you can buy in the spice section of any supermarket. Try chewing a half-teaspoon of fennel seeds at the end of a meal or any time you feel distended from gas.
Drink 8 to 10 glass of water daily.
Bust the belch. Habits that can lead to excessive belching can also cause problems with flatulence.
Get activated. Activated charcoal tablets, available without a prescription may help to absorb some excess gas and calm flatulence. If you are taking any prescription medications, however, ask your pharmacists whether the activated charcoal will interfere with them.
