Pour the rice into the sock. Bind or tie the sock to secure the rice within it. Place the rice-filled sock into the microwave for sixty seconds. Apply the heated rice-filled sock onto the ear. Onion- this is widely used within my family. Chop 1/2 of a small onion and microwave for a minute or two. Then take the onion juice after it cools and apply a couple drops to affected ear.
Take a sock and one cup of rice or one cup of salt -Take the rice/salt and heat for 1 to 2 minutes in microwave. Then pour into sock. Place sock against hurt ear and the heat reduces swelling thus allowing ear to drain.
Warm compress or heating pad can provide comfort to the ear.
A decongestant can ease Middle Ear pressure and discomfort.
Place your head on a raised pillow while sleeping. This helps drain fluid from middle ear.
Applying heat to the ear eases pain. Use heating pad or warm washcloth set on low heat.
Take rest. Body immune system does great job in fighting with these type of infections.
Garlic, Calendula, and Mullein
This is one of the best home remedies for ear infections.
You will need oil extracts of each herb along with some Olive Oil. Mix together equal parts of each and put three to four drops of the mixture in the infected ear. Repeat every three to four hours.
For individuals who suffer from ear infections frequently, certain foods are not recommended. These include curds, bananas, watermelons, oranges, papayas, cucumbers, and foods directly from the refrigerator. On the other hand, ginger, turmeric, garlic, and onions are highly recommended.
